It's the final weekend of September.... WHAT! I don't know where she's going, but September is surely in a hurry!
We have officially entered the fall season in Louisiana and that means fall festivals, bonfires, trunk-or-treats, and plenty of events packed into every weekend from in Houma, Thibodaux, Raceland, Galliano, Cut Off, and everywhere in between. Some may like the big music festivals that last over a three day weekend, while other families may enjoy the smaller events, especially if there are littles involved. We are working behind the scenes to keep the event calendar updated with as many local events this fall that will entertain all families in the Bayou Region.

As of mother of twins, I am so excited to see this one .. or two-of-a-kind festival in our area! After being rained out TWICE, they have finally got the date locked down for a fun day in downtown Houma.
Enjoy a 5k run, food vendors, craft booths and a Kid's Zone for the younger kids to enjoy. Live music and of course a second-line parade offer a taste of true Louisiana culture. Funds raised support CHeriSH Times Two, a non-profit whose mission is to empower vulnerable populations and communities, particularly foster youth, to build resilience and self-sufficiency. Free.
