Labor Day weekend is already here, and that means it's time for the 'Ber months! This is usually the busiest time of the year for Macaron KID and local families in the Houma - Thibodaux area. We are working hard behind the scenes to search for the best, family-friendly events so you don't have too.
I like to feature not only family-friendly, fun, local events on our calendar but I also list community fundraisers and other resources that families can benefit from during the year.

1. Shrimp Boil to Benefit the Terrebonne High School Band

2. Downtown Live After 5 - Downtown Houma Court Square

The free concert series offers the perfect setting for locals and visitors alike to explore downtown shops, mingle with friends, or make new ones. Enjoy live music and nighttime entertainment on Friday evenings to start off your weekend. Make sure to bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and dancing shoes.
This Friday, Art After Dark will also run alongside Downtown Live After 5, inviting local artists to showcase their work. Spots are free but space is limited. Email director@bayouarts.org to reserve your spot.
3. Free Life Jacket Distribution for Kids - Bayou Country Children's Museum - Houma
