For 90 years the Annual Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival has entertained local families and tourists alike in Morgan City, Louisiana over the Labor Day holiday weekend. This annual event honors the hardworking folks of two major industries for our state - the seafood and petroleum industries.
The festival is back for 2025, taking place from Thursday, August 28, 2025 through Monday, September 1, 2025, offering free entry for those looking for a family-friendly event to enjoy over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Each year the festival offers something for everyone in the family to enjoy:
- Art & Crafts Vendors
- Live Musical Performances
- Children's Village, open Saturday and Sunday, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
- The Annual Blessing of the Fleet
- Royalty & Children's Parade
- Art Show
- Carnival Rides
- Fireworks over the Berwick Bay, Sunday at 9:00 pm
There will also be other paid events scheduled throughout the 5-day festival event in Lawrence Park, under the HWY 90 Bridge, and other locations throughout the Morgan City area.
