Walk with me from wherever you are!

If you read this month's "A Note From Your Publisher", you learned that my daily life consists of a very chaotic schedule. And I feel that other mommas have way more on their plate than I do, so I cannot imagine what that amount of stress must feel like. For most of my mom life, I did mom things without complaining because that's just what you are supposed to do, right? WRONG!


This is where physical activity comes in, specifically walking. For me, walking is more than exercise and physical activity. It is completely therapeutic. Wouldn't it be great to make new friends while walking, without having to travel far? Same here sis! 99 Walks has built a community of women based on this very premise! Join hundreds of other women that have made meaningful changes in their lives with 99 Walks. They are getting healthier, losing weight and taking time for themselves again. 99 Walks provides all the tools you need, including our walk tracker app, walking classes, team support and a welcoming and motivational community like no other. 99 walks is not a step tracker; it is an app that motivates you to take time for yourself and go for a walk.


Each month, 99 Walks organizes a challenge and sets a theme for each challenge. You set your personal goals and if you meet them by the end of the month, you are rewarded with beautiful and inspirational bangle bracelets to remind you that you did it! So here is my challenge to you this November:

  • Commit to walking 33 miles this month (remember, this is not about daily steps; this is about taking time to go for a walk outside of your regular activity)
  • Each time you walk, focus on the things that you are grateful and thankful for. Block out work, to-do lists, and things that make you anything less than happy. Remember, this is your time for you, don't let things on your mind that can be dealt with later take this time from you.
  • Connect with me on the November Facebook post (click here) and tell me about your walk. How did you feel? What were you thankful and grateful for? What motivates you? Share a playlist with me (because Lord knows I need to update my library).
