Lyn Klein is a wife and mother, married to Jerry, with whom she has two beautiful daughters, Paige and Tessa. Lyn is from Patterson, and enjoys traveling, “glamping”, hiking, and bike riding. During the week of Thanksgiving, Lyn was diagnosed with DCIS – Ductal Carcinoma in Situ. She explains that getting that news was surreal and set her mind racing. After researching her diagnosis, she realized that she was very lucky to have been diagnosed very early. She powered through 19 radiation treatments at Mary Bird Perkins TGMC Cancer Center and shared that the staff was wonderful. They thoroughly explained every step of the process and stayed upbeat even when she was feeling down. She always felt treated with respect, kindness, and compassion.
Let Len's story of fighting and survivorship inspire you to join the fight. Support Geaux Pink all during the month of October on behalf of Mary Bird Perkins TGMC Cancer Center. For information about scheduled Geaux Pink events or to host your own event, click here.
